TROOPS DESTROY ENCLAVE OF NOTORIOUS BANDIT DOGO GIDE, RECOVER WEAPONS
A military operation executed by troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) resulted in the narrow escape of the notorious Bandits kingpin, Dogo Gide, from a life-threatening situation with severe gunshot injuries. Simultaneously, his foot soldiers fled, and their secret hideouts were identified and destroyed.
The military forces descended upon the strongholds of the terrorists situated in the villages of Dansadau, Mai Tukunya, and Babban Doka in Zamfara state, which had previously served as Dogo Gide's refuge. During this operation, the well-prepared troops gained control over the Yau Sarkin Pawa House belonging to Dogo Gide, thoroughly searched the premises, and subsequently razed it to the ground.
Items recovered within Dogo Gide's residence included a tailor shop used for producing uniforms for various military and security agencies, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), a small pharmacy suspected of treating injured terrorists, five operational motorcycles, sewing machines, and other items, all of which were promptly set on fire.
The brave OPHD troops continued their offensive against the terrorist bandits, clearing the villages of Malele, Mutunji, Kwana, Kamatso, Kememe, and Kango, all of which had been utilized as hiding spots by the terrorists.
Furthermore, the troops successfully located and eliminated bandits' hideouts in Koli, Bakin Dutse, and Farin Ruwa villages, leading to the discovery and destruction of four motorcycles and mobile phones used by the terrorists.
