TROOPS NEUTRALISE IPOB/ESN MILITANTS IN LILU FOREST, RECOVER AMMUNITION
The Nigerian Army has neutralised several IPOB/ESN militants in a gun battle at Lilu forest, Ihiala LGA of Anambra.
The troops, in a joint operation with other security agents on Monday January 17, also dislodged a notorious IPOB/ESN stronghold in Lilu forest.
The troops also recovered 10 Pump Action Shotguns, two locally fabricated guns, one Revolver pistol, rounds of 7.62 mm special, live cartridges, machetes and IPOB flags. Other items recovered are mobile phones, laptops, etc.
It is pertinent to mention that Lilu is a border town between Imo and Anambra States, which was a notorious IPOB/ESN camp.
