On January 27, 2024, during a targeted clearance operation in the Dumburum forest area, they successfully rescued 35 kidnapped victims and neutralized 2 terrorists.</p><p><br></p><p>The operation, part of a series of well-coordinated clearance missions in the North West, saw troops engaging armed terrorists in a fierce encounter. Despite facing resistance, the troops managed to neutralize 2 terrorists, while others fled the scene with severe injuries.</p><p><br></p><p>The rescued victims, comprising 19 males, 12 females, and 4 children, were promptly handed over to the Katsina state Government by Brigadier General OA Fadairo, Commander of the 17 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 2 Operation HADARIN DAJI.
