TROOPS RESCUE 35 KIDNAP VICTIMS, NEUTRALIZE 2 TERRORISTS IN KATSINA
In a remarkable display of coordinated action, troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI, operating in Katsina state, have achieved a significant breakthrough. On January 27, 2024, during a targeted clearance operation in the Dumburum forest area, they successfully rescued 35 kidnapped victims and neutralized 2 terrorists.
The operation, part of a series of well-coordinated clearance missions in the North West, saw troops engaging armed terrorists in a fierce encounter. Despite facing resistance, the troops managed to neutralize 2 terrorists, while others fled the scene with severe injuries.
The rescued victims, comprising 19 males, 12 females, and 4 children, were promptly handed over to the Katsina state Government by Brigadier General OA Fadairo, Commander of the 17 Brigade Nigerian Army/Sector 2 Operation HADARIN DAJI. General Fadairo reiterated the commitment of the Joint Task Force to continue the offensive against terrorist enclaves, emphasizing the priority of restoring peace and security in the region.
