UNKNOWN GUNMEN KILL FOUR POLICEMEN IN EKWUSIGO LGA OF ANAMBRA
Reports indicate that unknown gunmen have killed four policemen in Oraifite town, Ekwusigo LGA of Anambra State.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the security personnel were killed after the assailants attacked a police checkpoint in Oraifite.
This is coming three days to the much anticipated Anambra State gubernatorial elections slated for Saturday November 6.
In the last one week, Eons Intelligence has reported several gun duels between the police, the army and the gunmen at Ekwulobia in Aguata Local Government, Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government, and Nnobi in Idemilli South Local Government of Anambra.
Meanwhile, the Anambra Police command has announced that there would be a total lockdown from Thursday to enable security operatives take control of the space and deal with any violence that might erupt during the polls.
Recall, on October 15, Eons Intelligence reported that the Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba has ordered the mobilization and deployment of a total of 34,587 Police personnel, three Police Helicopters, technical capabilities of the Police Airwing, the Force Marine and the Force Animal Branch as well as other operational assets for the gubernatorial elections slated for November 6.
