BANDITS ATTACK EMIR OF BIRNIN GWARI'S CONVOY, OPEN FIRE ON THEM
Reports indicate that bandits on Tuesday opened fire on the convoy of the Emir of Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State, Alhaji Zubairu Jibril Mai Gwari II.
Sources say the monarch’s convoy was ambushed on the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway while commuting to Kaduna on Tuesday evening. However, the Emir was not in any of the vehicles during the attack.
It was gathered that the attackers suddenly appeared in front of the vehicles with guns, and threw tree branches on the road to disrupt them.
There were minor injuries sustained by those in the convoy while the glasses of the vehicles were shattered.
This incident comes 24 hours after bandits invaded UBE Primary school in Rama village, Birnin-Gwari LGA of Kaduna, abducting teachers.
