Bandits Storm Kaduna Churches, Abduct Over 100 Worshippers During Sunday Services

More than 100 churchgoers were abducted on Sunday after suspected bandits launched coordinated attacks on multiple churches in the Kurmin Wali area of Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.


Sources with relatives among the victims told Sahara Reporters that the attackers stormed the churches during ongoing services and forcefully took worshippers away. It was gathered that about 10 persons, mostly those considered vulnerable, were later released by the assailants.


Security agencies and relevant authorities have been informed of the incident, while efforts are ongoing to ascertain the full details and secure the release of those still in captivity.


The latest abduction adds to the growing security concerns in parts of Kaduna State, which has witnessed repeated attacks by armed groups in recent times.
