BREAKING: SENATE CONFIRMS JUSTICE MONICA DONGBAN-MENSEM AS PRESIDENT OF THE COURT OF APPEAL
The Senate has confirmed Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem as the President of the Court of Appeal (PCA) on Thursday, June 11.
Dongban-Mensem was confirmed the PCA after presentation and consideration of the screening report of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters.
Senator Micheal Opeyemi Bamidele, who confirmed the development said that the appointment of the nominee satisfied the requirements of the constitution as amended.
President Muhammadu Buhari, had on Monday, June 8, presented the name of Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem to the Senate as President of the Court of Appeal.

Justice Dongban-Mensem was the Acting President of the Court of Appeal.
He was sworn-in as the Acting President, Court of Appeal, on March 6, 2020, by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad after the retirement of Zainab Bulkachuwa.
