BREAKING: GOVERNOR OYETOLA EASES CURFEW IN OSUN STATE

Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, has eased curfew in the State.


The Governor made the announcement via his Twitter handle on the night of Wednesday, October 28.


Recall, the Governor had on Saturday, October 24, imposed curfew on the State following the looting of Government and Private properties by hoodlums.

In his latest tweet, the Governor said, "following the review of the security situation in the State, we've decided to relax the 24-hr curfew declared last Saturday to avert breakdown of law & order. Effective from tomorrow, Thursday, October 29, the curfew will run from 8:00pm to 6:00am daily, until further notice.


"This means members of the public can now go about their activities between 6:00am & 8:00pm daily. Security operatives will however be on ground to enforce the new curfew directive, as part of efforts to maintain law & order across the State."

He commended the residents of Osun State for their understanding and cooperation while the curfew was in force. 


He also urged them to continue to be peaceful and law abiding, assuring them that the Government will continue to make efforts to protect the lives and property of the people.
