  		'post_content' => '<p>Justice Adenike Coker of the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja issued a remand order, directing the placement of Monday Odeh in the Nigerian Correctional Service Facility.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>This decision followed Odeh's arraignment on January 15, 2024, by the state government on a murder charge related to the death of 54-year-old Abdulahi Yinusa.</p><p><br></p><p>At the arraignment, the state prosecuting counsel, Ms Titi Adeegbe, informed the court that on April 4, 2019, in the Magodo area of the state, the defendant, Monday Odeh, allegedly committed the unlawful murder of Abdulahi Yinusa.</p><p><br></p><p>Before the murder, Monday Odeh and Abdulahi Yinusa served as security guards at Magodo. Bola Ikupoluyi, their employer, reported to the police that an argument ensued between the two. Yinusa accused Odeh of stealing clothing items belonging to their boss. In the course of the dispute, Odeh struck Yinusa with a shovel, leading to his fatal injuries. Angered by the confrontation, Odeh threatened to kill Yinusa. In response, their employer terminated Odeh's employment and instructed him to leave the premises immediately.</p><p><br></p><p>On the pretext of retrieving his personal belongings, Odey returned to the house around 7 pm on the same day and fatally attacked Yinusa. Subsequently, he disposed of the victim's body at a canal located behind their employer's residence before fleeing the scene.</p><p><br></p><p>After fleeing the scene, Odey was captured in Iwo, Osun State, on May 2nd, 2019.</p><p><br></p><p>Adeegbe stated that the committed offence violated Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. Despite this, the defendant entered a plea of not guilty to the murder charge. The prosecutor requested a trial date in light of the defendant's plea, while Mrs. Onikepo Braithwaite represented the defendant. As a result, Justice Coker scheduled the commencement of the trial for February 12, 2024.</p>',

Bola Ikupoluyi, their employer, reported to the police that an argument ensued between the two. Yinusa accused Odeh of stealing clothing items belonging to their boss. In the course of the dispute, Odeh struck Yinusa with a shovel, leading to his fatal injuries. Angered by the confrontation, Odeh threatened to kill Yinusa. In response, their employer terminated Odeh's employment and instructed him to leave the premises immediately.</p><p><br></p><p>On the pretext of retrieving his personal belongings, Odey returned to the house around 7 pm on the same day and fatally attacked Yinusa. Bola Ikupoluyi, their employer, reported to the police that an argument ensued between the two. Yinusa accused Odeh of stealing clothing items belonging to their boss. In the course of the dispute, Odeh struck Yinusa with a shovel, leading to his fatal injuries. Angered by the confrontation, Odeh threatened to kill Yinusa. In response, their employer terminated Odeh's employment and instructed him to leave the premises immediately.</p><p><br></p><p>On the pretext of retrieving his personal belongings, Odey returned to the house around 7 pm on the same day and fatally attacked Yinusa.
