  		'post_content' => '<p>Kaduna State has confirmed one new case of coronavirus, bringing the number of active cases to 4, the state ministry of health says.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The State's Commissioner of Health, Dr. Amina Mohammed Baloni, on Saturday, said that the new case was as a result of contact with one of the three cases announced earlier during the week.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Speaking further, Baloni reiterated that the state government is presently working on tracing those who earlier had contact with infected persons.</p><p><br></p><p>Dr. Baloni disclosed that the four active cases are currently receiving treatment at the Infectious Diseases Centre.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;Five cases were earlier discharged in the one week, starting from April 14th, 2020," she added.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The Governor of Kaduna state, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, who was the index case, announced he was COVID- 19 free on April 22nd, after two consecutive negative test results.</p><p><br></p><p>Dr. Baloni said&nbsp;Governor El-Rufai, has acknowledged "the sterling efforts" of the medical professionals.&nbsp;She also appealed to the medical team and other stakeholders to remain dedicated and help contain the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the state.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>The Commissioner said that the testing capacity is improving, adding that Kaduna state has "one lab that has been accredited by NCDC to conduct Covid-19 tests."&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>"Two other labs, one in Kaduna and the other in Zaria, are undergoing NCDC verification and are expected to secure test accreditation shortly," she added.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>However, to curb the spread of the deadly virus, Dr. Baloni urges residents to abide by the measure put in place by the state government.
