EDO 2020: NSCDC WARNS PERSONNEL TO SHUN BRIBE DURING ELECTION
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Anambra have warned its personnel deployed in Edo State for the gubernatorial elections slated for Saturday, September 19, 2020, to shun bribe.
David Bille, NSCDC State Commandant in Anambra, gave the warning on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 during a one-day sensitization workshop for the personnel.
He urged them to be apolitical and resist any monetary inducement while discharging their duties to ensure a free, credible and non-violent election in the State.
He added that that any of them linked with bribery would be penalized and sanctioned.
Also, the NSCDC, Oyo State Command, said it has deployed a total of 150 armed men in Edo State for the election.
The Edo State Commandant of NSCDC, Iskilu Akinsanya, said the decision was taken to supplement security organization and arrangements for the exercise.
