One of the charges against Mary Grace Dela Cruz and Genting International Co. Similarly, Krystel Aquilesca was charged with fraudulently impersonating an individual known as 'TETEEL' for financial gain, in violation of Section 22(2)(b) of the Cybercrimes Act, 2015.

All 14 defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges. The prosecution team—M.K. Bashir, N.K. Ukoha, and Bilkisu Buhari—requested trial dates and urged the court to remand the defendants in a correctional facility.
