The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in collaboration with the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), has repatriated 51 foreign nationals convicted for cyber-terrorism and internet fraud.
The deportees comprise 50 Chinese nationals and one Tunisian.
This latest action brings the total number of convicted foreign nationals repatriated to 102, following the commencement of the exercise on Friday, August 15, 2025.
According to the EFCC, the convicts are among the 192 foreign nationals arrested in Lagos during a sting operation, which was based on actionable intelligence that uncovered one of the largest foreign-led cybercrime syndicates operating in Nigeria.
Authorities confirmed that further deportations will be carried out in the coming days as the exercise continues.
