NINE DEAD AS TRAILER COLLIDES WITH BUS ON LAGOS-IBADAN EXPRESSWAY

Nine people have died in an accident involving two vehicles on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)

Ahmed Umar, sector commander of FRSC in Ogun state, said 16 other persons sustained varying degrees of injuries.


The sector commander said the accident involved 25 persons.

According to NAN, Umar said the accident occurred at about 3.45 pm around WichTech Company, near Danco petrol station on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.


Umar said the accident was caused by speed violation and overloading on the part of the commercial bus driver.


He said the commercial bus lost control due to excessive speeding and rammed into the truck.
