#ENDSARS: GOVERNMENT TO DEAL DECISIVELY WITH ANY ACT OF HOOLIGANISM- BUHARI
President Muhammadu Buhari has warned that any act of hooliganism hiding behind lawful and peaceful protests will be dealt with decisively to ensure peace and stability in the country.
The President gave the warning while declaring open the Chief of Army Staff’s Annual Conference 2020 in Abuja, on Monday, November 7.
The comment of Buhari comes as a response to the ongoing second phase of #EndSARS protests in some parts of the country.

Some Nigerians are currently staging protests in different parts of the nation, including, the Federal Capital Territory, Osun, Oyo and Ondo States.
They are demanding for the release of all detained protesters and unfreezing of their accounts by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), among others.
Speaking on Monday, President Buhari said “I want to reiterate our government’s commitment to the rights of citizens to embark on peaceful protests,”
“However, this must be done responsibly and in accordance with the laws of the land.

“I also wish to state that any act of hooliganism hiding behind lawful and peaceful protests will be dealt with decisively to ensure the peace and stability of our nation.”
