FORMER CONGOLESE PRESIDENT PASCAL LISSOUBA DIES IN FRANCE
Former Congolese president Pascal Lissouba is dead.
He died in Perpignan, Southwest France on Monday, August 24 at the age of 88.
Pascal Lissouba was the president of Congo- Brazzaville from 1992-1997.
He was ousted in 1997 following the civil war.
Lissouba is the second former Congolese President to die in France this year.
Recall that former president Jacques Joachim Yhombi-Opango who ruled Congo between 1977-1979 died of Coronavirus complications in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Paris on March 30. He was 81 years old.
