GUNMEN IN SECURITY UNIFORM AMBUSH BUS IN KATSINA, ABDUCT SEVERAL PASSENGERS
Gunmen on Tuesday ambushed a commercial bus in Shimfida, Gurbin Baure road, Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.
It was gathered that the group operated as security operatives at a checkpoint in both military and police uniforms.
The incident happened around 6.30pm and as at the time of documenting this report, the number of kidnapped persons can not be ascertained.
This comes barely 24 hours after armed men invaded Kaigar Malamai in Dan Musa Local Government and abducted a village head and 16 others.
Similarly, gunmen on Tuesday abducted commuters on the Benin-Auchi expressway.
Several cases of kidnapping have been reported in recent weeks in Nigeria.

On Tuesday, bandits kidnapped three persons in Kaduna. In a similar incident in Jigawa, the daughter of the former speaker of the State’s House of Assembly was abducted by armed men.
On December 21, Eons Intelligence reported that bandits broke into a residence in Dutse, kidnapped a lady, and carted away valuables.
In the same vein, gunmen on December 21 abducted two persons in Falgore community in Kano.
