ICPC ARREST JOB APPLICANTS FOR FORGING CERTIFICATES DURING RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) have arrested some job applicants for presenting forged certificates and academic records during the on-going recruitment exercise by the Commission.


In a statement by ICPC PRO, Azuka C. Ogugua, the suspects were arrested on Tuesday September 14.


The ICPC PRO said some of the false documents presented during the interview sessions include declarations of age, school certificates, and other documentation that showed evidence of tampering.


He added that the act is contrary to and punishable under Section 25 (1) of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000 and that the suspects have been detained and are being investigated by the Commission.
