Libya Deports 13 Migrants, Including Seven Nigerians, for Illegal Entry
Libya’s Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) has deported 13 individuals, including seven Nigerians, three Bangladeshis, and three Ghanaians, following their detention at the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center.
The deportees were flown out of Libya via Benina International Airport in Benghazi, marking their official return to their respective home countries after entering Libya illegally.
In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, Migrant Rescue Watch confirmed the deportation, noting that each individual was repatriated for violating Libya's immigration laws.
“DCIM deported from Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Center 13 migrants (Bangladesh 3, Ghana 3, and Nigeria 7) via Benina International Airport in Benghazi. All individuals were deported for violating laws in force in the Libyan state,” the statement read.
