NAF Airstrikes Decimate Terrorists, Safeguard Civilians in Niger State

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully executed a series of precision airstrikes in Niger State, targeting terrorists responsible for recent attacks in the region. The operation, conducted between 24 and 26 June 2025 under Operation FANSAN YAMMA Sector 1, was carried out in close coordination with ground forces.


According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, the strikes were launched following credible intelligence and inter-agency collaboration. Terrorists involved in attacks and cattle rustling in Kakihun and Kumbashi communities were identified as primary targets.


Deploying air assets swiftly, NAF conducted multiple waves of strikes, neutralizing scores of terrorists, destroying their logistics, and disrupting regrouping efforts.


The operation, Ejodame noted, showcased NAF's professionalism, rapid response capability, and strong synergy with ground forces and other security agencies.


The Nigerian Air Force reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the lives and property of Nigerians and ensuring lasting peace across the country.


The operation concluded on 26 June 2025.
