NAF AIRSTRIKES KILL SEVERAL BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS, WIPE OUT TRAINING CAMP AND AMMUNITION STORAGE FACILITIES IN BORNO
The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) on Thursday killed scores of Boko Haram Insurgents, destroyed their training camp, alongside a suspected ammunition depot at Nuwar in the Bama area of Borno State, Northeastern part of the country.
The successful attack was executed two days after
NAF killed several Boko haram fighters and destroyed at least three of their gun trucks at Mainok in Borno State.
The Thursday airstrike operation was conducted by the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE following intelligence reports indicating that the cluster of huts and other structures in the settlement were being used to conduct combat training for the terrorists on a regular basis.

Subsequently, the NAF after conducting series of confirmatory aerial surveillance missions, dispatched an appropriate force package of helicopter gunships for a night air raid on the target area.
The helicopters engaged the target, delivered accurate hits in the target area, resulting in the killing of several Insurgents as well as destruction of some of their structures, including the terrorists’ armoury, where multiple mini explosions were observed amidst the raging fire.
Several other terrorists were killed in follow-on attacks by the helicopter gunships.
The Nigerian military has recorded applaudable success recently as it has dealt decisively with criminal elements in the country, especially in the North Eastern region.

In an airstrike operation conducted by the NAF on January 6, several Boko Haram terrorist hideouts housing high- value Jihadists in Alagarno, Sambisa forest were taken out.
Similarly, the Nigerian Army on Saturday January 9 killed about 28 Boko Haram terrorists and recovered several ammunition in Gujba village, Yobe State, also in the North Eastern region of the country.
