NIGER STATE GOVERNOR ANNOUNCES GUNNA AS NEW EMIR OF KAGARA

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has announced the appointment of the Acting Chairman of the Niger State Revenue Board, Alhaji Ahmad Garba Gunna as the new Emir of Kagara.


Mallam Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, the Commissioner for Local Government, Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs disclosed this in Minna on Wednesday.


Recall that the former Emir, Alhaji Salihu Tanko Kagara died on March 1, 2021 after a protracted illness in Minna, the state capital.

The new Emir who is 46 years old, defeated five other contestants in an electoral college conducted by the 14 kingmakers of the Kagara Emirate.
