NIGERIAN ARMY KILL THREE BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS IN BORNO, RECOVER AMMUNITION

The Nigerian Army on Tuesday, December 29, killed about three Boko Haram terrorists in Tunkushe village, Borno State.



It was gathered that the terrorists appeared in army uniforms with two Hilux vans, invaded the village, but were repelled by the gallant troops.



The terrorists were killed by troops of 212 Battalion of the Nigeria Army after a heavy gun duel that lasted for about 30 minutes.



Sources revealed that three of the assailants were killed while two soldiers sustained injuries during the encounter.



Some of the ammunition recovered by the troops include; one gun truck mounted with Anti Air Craft gun, AK 47 riffle, and a buffen radio.



It was learnt that the troops have launched a manhunt to arrest the fleeing assailants as several traces of blood were seen along the route where they escaped.



This comes 24 hours after the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) killed several Boko Haram insurgents at the South Region in the heart of the Sambisa forest in Borno State.
