The terrorists were killed by troops of 212 Battalion of the Nigeria Army after a heavy gun duel that lasted for about 30 minutes.
Sources revealed that three of the assailants were killed while two soldiers sustained injuries during the encounter.
Some of the ammunition recovered by the troops include; one gun truck mounted with Anti Air Craft gun, AK 47 riffle, and a buffen radio.
It was learnt that the troops have launched a manhunt to arrest the fleeing assailants as several traces of blood were seen along the route where they escaped.
