OGONI YOUTH EXPRESS MIXED FEELINGS OVER NGN 2.5 BILLION COMPENSATION
The Ogoni Youth Federation have expressed their displeasure over the release of NGN 2.5 Billion for payment of compensation to property owners along the east west road.
They emphasized on the fact that releasing part payment for compensation is not only diversionary but an attempt by Senator Godswill Akpabio to deceive the protesting youths to withdraw from the road.
The 5-days old mother of all protest embarked on by the Ogoni Youth, remains on the forefront, as they are demanding for the re-construction of the entire stretch of the deplorable Ogoni axis of the east west road (Eleme junction to Onne).

Their wish is to see the Federal Government mobilize contractors handling the road project to implement their demand.
The plan of the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has been perceived as a way of tricking the protesting youths and they have made it clear that it won’t work, as they are determined to remain on the road till the Federal Government mobilize contractors to site.
