Operations Continue At Sea Ports - NPA
The Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) has made known its intention not to shut operations following the spread of the COVID - 19 pandemic.
This was stated in a tweet with the verified Twitter handle of NPA by the General Manager, Corporate and Strategic Communication, Mr Adams Jatto, that the decision not to shut down operations is under the directive of the President, Muhammadu Buhari.
He explained further that measures have been put in place to enable smooth operations to assures security and total well being of stake holders and workers
He urged all workers and stake holders to abide by the directives of Port Authority Officials
The statement read in part, “All other government agencies responsible for smooth operations in the ports are enjoined to be at their respective duty posts to discharge their functions in line with the presidential directive of maintaining operational functions at the Lagos ports.
"The management of the Nigerian Ports Authority assures all stakeholders of its commitment to facilitation of trade in Nigeria.”
