OYO ANNOUNCES COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS
The Oyo State Government has listed the COVID-19 protocols and preventive measures for schools as students in Primary 6, JSS3, and SSS3 await the July 6th resumption date in the state.
Mr Olasukanmi Olaleye, the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, made this known in a statement in Ibadan, yesterday.
Olaleye said among the measures are the compulsory hand-washing points at the school entrances and at the entrance of each classroom as well as alcohol-based sanitiser for use by students and teachers.
The Commissioner said all categories of school heads, principals and teachers have been trained on how to monitor and report any sign of illness with symptoms of COVID-19 to the authority.
He said the State had set up emergency operation centres in Ibadan and other zones.
He added that incident managers have been appointed for schools.
