POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED STREET ROBBER FOR ATTACKING AN OCTOGENARIAN IN OGUN STATE
A suspected street rubber identified as Olamilekan Taiwo allegedly attacked an 80-year-old man known as Reuben Olojede at his residence has been arrested at Agbado by the operatives of Lagos State Police Command.
The information available indicates that the suspect on 24th October 2023 terrified his victim with a grinding stone which made him unconscious. Thereafter, the suspect stole about N12,700 from his victim and fled the scene.
Thereupon, the victim's son got home and found his father in a pool of blood, took him to the hospital where he is currently responding to treatment and reported the incident to the police.
Meanwhile, the suspect was arrested at Ogba-Ayo, Ijoko area with the synergy of the security outfit and the police operatives, recovered the octogenarian's money, and he has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abeokuta for further investigation.
