POLICE INSPECTOR ARRESTED FOR FATALLY SHOOTING A MAN
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one of its members, attached to the Ikotun Division, Inspector Okoro Charles on May 5th, 2020 for shooting and killing a certain Fatai Oladipupo.
The shooting incident occurred on May 20th along Obabiyi, Igando Road, Ikotun which brought about the death of Fatai, who was 28 years old.
The Inspector is currently undergoing an internal disciplinary procedure also called Orderly Room trial at the State Provost Department; if found guilty, he would be prosecuted in court.
Investigations are on-going to discover the events surrounding the shooting incident. The Commissioner of Police has called for calm as he commiserates with the friends and families of the deceased.
Similarly, the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Command, CP Hakeem Odumosu psc has ordered the transfer of the case involving the shooting and killing of Sergeant Onalaja Onajide attached to Ilemba Hausa Division, to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for discreet investigation.
