POLICE KILL TWO TERRORISTS, RECOVER AK-47 RIFLE, AMMUNITION IN BATSARI, KASTINA
The operatives of kastina state police command in conjunction with vigilante groups neutralised two terrorists today Thursday, March 2023 at about 0730hrs.
Information available indicates that the police operatives received a distress call that terrorists in their numbers, attacked Yasore village, Batsari LGA of Katsina state shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles.
Consequently, the DPO of Batsari Division led a combined team of Police and Vigilante groups to the area, engaged the hoodlums in a fierce gun duel and successfully repelled them.
In the course of scanning the scene, the team recovered the followings:
Two (2) corpses of neutralized terrorists
Two AK 47 rifles
Five (5) AK 47 rifle magazines
Ninety-seven (97) pieces of 7.62mm ammunition of AK 47 rifles, two (2)ITEL GSM Phones
Bunch of criminal charms
A black bag containing the sum of two thousand, five hundred and eighty thousand naira (N2,580), a lighter, a pen and a blue veil.
Meanwhile, Many of the terrorists were reasonably believed to have been neutralized or escaped the scene with gunshot wounds.
Search parties are combing the nearest bushes with a view of arresting them or recovering their dead bodies.
