PRESIDENCY DENIES DISSOLVING NDDC INTERIM MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The Presidency, on Friday, July 24th, 2020, has denied reports that it has dissolved the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The National Assembly had on Thursday, July 23rd, 2020, recommended the dissolution of the committee and return of the NDDC to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) for proper accountability and supervision.
Reacting to reports on social media that the IMC has been dissolved due to calls by the lawmakers, the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said there was nothing as such.

Adesina made this disclaimer via his official Twitter handle.
"Please disregard a statement purportedly from me on the dissolution of the Interim Management Committee of NDDC. Merchants of fake news in action," he tweeted.
