SECURITY OPERATIVES ARREST SEVEN SUSPECTED RITUALISTS IN ABEOKUTA


The Ogun State Command has arrested seven members of a serial ritual killer syndicate in Abeokuta.


The arrested suspects include; Lekan Oladipupo, 38, from Sotan village, Sulaiman Aremu, 30, from Imala Elega, in Abeokuta, Ifayemi Madru, 24, from Sotan village, Shittu Saheed, 38, from Alarugbo village, Samod Sulaiman, 35, from Sotan village, Akamji Moruf, 23, from Alabata village, and Tajudeen Adekunle, 36, from Sapon area in Abeokuta.


The suspects were arrested following a report lodged at Bode Olude divisional headquarters by one Abraham Okosun, who reported that he visited his brother at Agbara village only to discover that his brother has been gruesomely murdered by unknown person(s), and his remains had been dismembered.


The detectives traced and apprehended Lekan Oladipupo, who on interrogation confessed to being the actual person who shot and killed the deceased.

 

His confession led to the arrest of the other six suspects.

 

This development comes after security operatives arrested a notorious Eiye confraternity member, Esuruoso Tunde, for allegedly attacking lodgers at a hotel in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
