ARMY ARRESTS SOLDIERS CAPTURED TORTURING CIVILIAN IN VIRAL VIDEO

In a stern response to a disturbing incident caught on camera, the Headquarters of the 6 Division, Nigerian Army, has swiftly taken action against two of its personnel involved in the brutal treatment of a civilian in Rivers State. The incident gained widespread attention after a viral video circulated on social media platforms.


The military authorities have expressed deep concern over the unprofessional conduct displayed by the soldiers, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a professional force that operates within established rules of engagement and respects the fundamental human rights of citizens.


The identified soldiers involved in the incident have been promptly arrested, as announced by the 6 Division. The Division's leadership under General Officer Commanding (GOC), Major General Jamal Abdussalam, has taken a proactive stance, directing a full-scale investigation to be conducted immediately.


Major General Jamal Abdussalam, who also serves as the Land Component Commander of Joint Task Force, South-South, Operation DELTA SAFE, has assured the public that every effort will be made to ensure a thorough investigation, leaving no stone unturned in bringing those responsible to justice.
