SOUTHERN GOVERNORS MEET TO DISCUSS INSECURITY AND CLAMOUR FOR SECESSION
Southern Governors of Nigeria have begun a meeting at the seat of the Lagos State Government in Alausa, Ikeja area of the state.
The meeting commenced with about 13 governors on Monday morning.
It's a follow up on the previous one held in Asaba, Delta State where the governors reached a consensus on the prohibition of open grazing in all the states of the South.
Governors in attendance include Chairman of the Governors' Forum and Governor of Ekiti, Kayode Fayemi, his Ogun counterpart, Dapo Abiodun; Governor of Ebonyi, David Umahi.
Others are Ben Ayade (Cross Rivers), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), feanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Oluwaseyi Makinde (Oyo); Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Diri Duoye (Bayelsa), Willie Obiano (Anambra), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Adegboyega Oyetola (Osun) and Emmanuel Udom (Akwa Ibom).
Also top on the agenda of the meeting is the agitation by those clamouring for the secession of the country.

Sources say the military arrested several members of the insurgents and recovered one of the vehicles used during the operation alongside several Military uniforms and arms.
