SPORADIC GUN BATTLE REPORTEDLY ONGOING AT ONITSHA-OWERRI, IHIALA LGA
Sustained heavy gun battle is reported and ongoing on Onitsha-Owerri road, Ihiala (9:50 AM this morning) as Commuters and Vehicles from Onitsha and Owerri axis are pinned down on both sides of the road as Gunmen spotted on Motorcycles lay siege on the road.
This is coming barely 24 hours after Curfew across 8 LGAs in Anambra was announced by the State Governor.
ADVISORY: Avoid travel on that axis for now. Active situational awareness is expedient if you are within the area.
