LAGOS STATE POLICE COMMAND ARRESTS SIX SUSPECTS FOR MURDER

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested six suspects for the murder of a 35-year old man identified as Kayode Olorunroba at No 3, Werewere Street, Alagbado, Lagos.


Kayode Olorunroba was shot dead after around 9pm on September 11th, 2020, at AVID Sharwama spot, Alagbado area of Lagos State after having a dispute with another customer at the sharwama spot.


Okikiola Kazeem, a friend of Kayode, who had earlier called him to join him at the sharwama spot refused to report the shooting incident to the police.


Instead, he took the deceased to a herbalist in Ogun State where they extracted the bullets. He then moved Kayode to his senior brother's house in Ipaja area of Lagos where he Kayode finally gave up the ghost.

Hakeem Odumosu, Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, immediately directed security personnel to trail the murderers of Kayode and arrest them.


The suspects arrested include Chimezie Amaechi, the owner of the Sharwama Spot, Okikiola Kazeem, the deceased's friend, Olayinka Oyedokun, manager of AVID bar, Femi Victor, Taiwo Moroko, and Omole Wasiu.


CP Odumosu has ordered that the State's Criminal Investigative Department (CID) take over the case for discreet investigation.


The Commissioner has assured Lagosians of his commitment to rid the State of crimes and criminality with the cooperation of all residents in the State.
