UPDATE: ABDUCTED CAN CHAIRMAN REGAINS FREEDOM
Bishop Thomas Masin, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Nassarawa State Chapter, who was abducted by gunmen in his residence on Wednesday, has regained his freedom.
His release was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police (CP) in Nassarawa, Bola Longe.
The Bishop regained freedom at about 11.45pm on Saturday, around Lizhi village in Nassarawa-Eggon Local Government Area.
He arrived his Bukan-sidi residence in Lafia at about 2am early this morning.
The CP revealed that four suspects have been arrested and investigation was on-going to arrest all those involved.
Longe added that the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution as soon as investigation was concluded.
The Bishop has been taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical examination.
