TWITTER CHECKS DONALD TRUMP A SECOND TIME
Social media giant, Twitter has once again checked US President, Donald Trump's tweet.
This time, Twitter flagged Trump's tweet for "glorifying violence."
While addressing the ongoing violence in Minneapolis caused by the death of a black man killed by police who kneeled on his neck till he fell unconscious, Trump wrote on Twitter:
"These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won't let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"

Less than an hour after the tweet, Twitter flagged the comment and wrote:
"This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about glorifying violence. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public's interest for the Tweet to remain accessible."
The above comment was accompanied by a link that gave more information about public-interest exceptions on Twitter.
This is coming less than a week after Twitter checked Donald Trump's tweet for the first time.
On Tuesday, May 26, the social media giant highlighted two of Trump's unsubstantiated claims that mail-in voting would lead to fraud and a "Rigged Election." Under the tweet, the social media platform linked a curated fact check page which read "Get the facts about mail-in ballots."
Trump responded by accusing Twitter of election meddling and stifling free speech.
On Thursday, May 29, Trump signed an executive order, a move he claimed was to "defend free speech from one of the gravest dangers it has faced in American history."
