Troops Overrun Terrorist Hideouts in Sambisa Forest
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have successfully overrun multiple terrorist hideouts during a clearance operation in Sambisa Forest on 15 May 2025.
The operation, which took place between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., targeted insurgent strongholds in Garin Malam Ali, Garin Glucose, and Ukuba. During the operation, the troops forced the terrorists to flee, abandoning a cache of arms, ammunition, and equipment used in making improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
Military authorities confirmed that exploitation and clearance efforts in the forest are still ongoing, as troops continue to dismantle terrorist enclaves and restore security to the area.
