GUNMEN INVADE NUHU BAMALLI POLYTECHNIC, ABDUCT HEAD OF DEPARTMENT AND HIS CHILDREN
Unknown gunmen on Saturday, November 14, invaded the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, Kaduna State and abducted three persons.
Kabir Abdullahi, the Polytechnic's Rector, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said the gunmen invaded the institution around 9pm on Saturday.
He revealed the gunmen, numbering about nine, abducted the Head of Department of Computer Engineering, Bello Atiku, and his two children.
The Rector stated that Sanusi Hassan, another staff of the school, was shot in the hand, and narrowly escaped being whisked away by the gunmen.
He said; “I was in Kaduna when the Chief Security Officer of the college called me and informed me about the attack.
“It is true that suspected armed bandits have kidnapped one of my staff, Engineer Bello Atiku who is the Head of Department, Computer Engineering of the school.
