Chief Press Secretary to Governor Akeredolu, Segun Ajiboye, released a statement directing the affected aides to submit all Government properties in their possession to the Chief of Staff to the Governor.
Akeredolu and Ajayi have been at a political battle which finally led to the resignation of the Deputy Governor from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ajayi moved to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) where he has indicated interest to run against the Governor in October.
Recall that on June 21st, 2020, Eons Intelligence had reported through a video that the Commissioner of Police in the State, Bolaji Salami, barred the Deputy Governor from leaving the State House on Saturday night.
Report say he was prevented from leaving the State House with an official car because he was decamping to PDP and the car purportedly belonged to APC.
