AMOTEKUN NAB MAN FOR CHAINING AND LOCKING HIS CHILDREN IN ISOLATED CONFINEMENT WHICH LED TO THEIR DEATH IN OGUN
The operatives of State Security Network, Amotekun corps in Ogun State on 18th April 2023 arrested a 45-year-old man, Gbenga Ogunfadeke, for allegedly chaining and locking his two children in solitary confinement which led to their death in the Waterside LGA, Ogun State.
The information available indicates that the suspect had accused his children of stealing, and he therefore chained and locked them in solitary confinement, without food and water for over three months which allegedly led to the death of two of the children with an age range between 16 and 18.

The suspect who had a crashed marriage with the children's mother, Busola Otusegun, admitted the alleged offense but denied depriving them of food and explained that their several illnesses were responsible for their death in April and June 2022 after taking them to the hospital that cannot be located in Ijebu-Ode as described.
Consequently, the suspect who is an herbalist and never revealed his children's ordeal to any members of the family further explained the involvement of the children in stealing, resulting in preventing them from criminal activity.
Meanwhile, one of the children that escaped the ordeal narrated the consequences to their mother who logged the complaint to the Amotekun corps.
Hence, the suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation to establish further facts that will facilitate the suspect’s prosecution.
