Bobrisky detained:Nigerian Immigration Questions Crossdresser Bobrisky After failed attempt Fleeing To Benin Republic

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has confirmed the arrest of crossdresser Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky. In a press statement issued on Monday night, the agency revealed that he is currently under interrogation.

According to the statement, Bobrisky will soon be transferred to the relevant authorities for a thorough investigation into several allegations against him. The statement read: “In line with our commitment to border security, the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, also known as Bobrisky, at the Seme Border as he attempted to exit the country.

“The Service wants to inform the public that Okuneye Idris is a person of interest in connection with recent issues of public concern. He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.

“The Service assures the public that it will continue to conduct its statutory responsibilities of managing the country’s borders in a civil and professional manner.”

Earlier reports indicated that Bobrisky was arrested on Monday morning while trying to flee to the Benin Republic. An immigration source told SaharaReporters that he was apprehended at the Seme-Nigerian border during a passport check. His arrest occurred just hours before he was scheduled to attend a Senate panel inquiry concerning the allegations against him, with reports suggesting that Bobrisky was attempting to evade questioning by the Senate.
