BOKO HARAM/ISWAP ATTACK GAJIRAM, ABDUCT VILLAGE HEAD
Boko Haram/ISWAP insurgents on Wednesday morning attacked Gaijram town in Borno and abducted a village district head as well as a 21-year-old man, Eons Intelligence has gathered.
The identity of the young man abducted is unknown at the moment, but the name of the elderly district head abducted by the jihadist is Modu Hauwai.
Sources say the insurgents attacked the town about 1:00 am armed with a rocket launcher. The criminals destroyed a telecommunications mast and a civilian vehicle.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the Jihadists had earlier attempted to attack the town on Tuesday, but were repelled by military forces.
Wednesday's attack was once again resisted but the jihadist succeeded in destroying by firing an RPG at the telecommunications mast in the town because they were unable to access the town.
Security experts say the jihadists targetted the telecommunications mast to prevent villagers from calling for help and reinforcements.
