FEDERATION OF FARMERS ASSOCIATION CONFIRM DEAD MEN KILLED BY AMOTEKUN WERE FULANI KILLER HERDSMEN
The men killed by Amotekun at Okebi village in the early hours of Saturday, January 9 were killer Fulani herdsmen, the Federation of Farmers Association, Oyo State chapter has said.
Recall that Eons Intelligence reported that Fulani herdsmen were killed during a clash with the Oyo State Security Network Agency popularly known as Amotekun at Aiyete in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of the State.
Debunking reports that the men killed were peaceful settlers, Mr Taiwo Adeagbo, the secretary of the farmers association confirmed to Eons Intelligence that those killed were indeed killer Fulani herdsmen, adding that Seriki Saliu, the Seriki Fulani was the one that pinpointed the men to law enforcement agents.
He also added that two more herdsmen have been caught with bales of money and several AK 47 bullets at a bar in Olatunji Mathew opposite Kara.
The suspects were apprehended by vigilantes when eyewitnesses saw them in possession of several bullets while they were trying to pay for recharge cards earlier purchased.
The suspects have been handed over to the Igangan police station.
