Gunmen Abduct Four, Including Medical Worker, in Adamawa Border Village

Suspected kidnappers have abducted four people, including a medical professional from Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola, in Mayo Kila, a village near the Nigeria-Cameroon border in Jada Local Government Area of Adamawa State.


The attack occurred around 1:30 a.m. on February 17, when armed assailants invaded the community and took the victims into the mountainous border region.


The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that a distress call was received at about 3:30 a.m., prompting a swift security response.


“Officers were deployed to the scene, and a joint team of police operatives and local hunters has been mobilized to ensure the victims' safe rescue and apprehend the perpetrators,” a police source revealed.


Security patrols have been intensified in the area, while the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit has launched a discreet investigation into the incident.
