GUNMEN KILL ENUGU STATE LAWMAKER
Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen on 16th July 2023 killed a councillor identified as Nelson Sylvester, who is representing Eha-Ulo ward in Nsukka LGA Legislative Council in Enugu State.
The information available indicates that the gunmen stormed the lawmaker popularly known as Ofunwa's residence in Eha-Alumonah at night and started shooting sporadically.
Consequently, the gunmen found and rained bullets on him. He tried to escape through a neighbouring compound from where his lifeless body was later recovered.
Meanwhile, the incident has sparked tension in the town and other neighbouring communities.
