HOODLUMS ATTACK NAFDAC OFFICIALS IN ABUJA
The operations of law enforcement officials on drugs known as NAFDAC were attacked by some hoodlums while performing their raid on substandard drugs circulating in Area 1 Motor Park in Abuja.
Following the intelligence information received by the NAFDAC officials through the DSS that there is a circulation of substandard drugs in Area 1 motor park, the NAFDAC officials on February 11th 2024 visited the location to crack down on such illegal activities and were attacked by the hoodlums who stoned and break their vehicle windscreen. Consequently, the armed mobile police who guard the officials shoot in the air to disperse the hoodlums from further attack on the drug enforcement agents.
Despite the attack from the hoodlums, the enforcement team were able to seize some controlled drugs including Rohypnol, Dizapam, Tramadol 500mg, Tramadol 225mg, Cocodamol, and so many other aphrodisiacs with some codeine syrups, all worth of N5million.
Meanwhile, the drug enforcement team has vowed to revisit the location and complete their operation to perfection.
