TERRORISTS KILL 8 VIGILANTES, ABDUCT VILLAGE HEADS IN KADUNA
About eight vigilante members have been reportedly killed during the attack launched by some terrorists in Kakangi and Unguwan Matinja communities, Birnin Gwari LGA, Kaduna State.
The information available indicates that the terrorists invaded the villages early morning of 2nd May 2024 with sophisticated weapons to perform the illicit act of kidnapping. They kidnapped the heads of Kakangi and Kisaya villages and another duo identified as Christopher Abubakar and Isah Gambo from the Ungwan Matinja community under Gayam.
However, the vigilante members also neutralised scores among the terrorists but unfortunately lost eight of their members identified as Bala Kamba, Abdurrahman Musa (Ubale), Kabiru Dan Dugui, Hambali Abu, Aliyu Abu, Nura Jika (Maleka), Mubarak Musa (Dan Wamba) and Ikra Hantsi during the gun battle.
Meanwhile, the police are currently investigating the matters to bring the perpetrators to book.
