UNKNOWN GUNMEN ATTACK POLICE STATION IN IDEATO SOUTH LGA OF IMO
Reports indicate that unknown gunmen on Thursday set ablaze Dikenafai Police Station in Ideato South Local government area of Imo State.
Eons Intelligence gathered that the assailants invaded the police facility around 2.30am on Thursday morning, shooting sporadically, and threw and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) into the station.
The attackers met heavy resistance from security operatives who engaged them in a gun battle, forcing them to retreat with bullet wounds.
No casualties were recorded on both sides and the explosive caused only minimal damage to the police facility.
