WE ARE NOT AWARE OF 10M LEVY IMPOSED ON COMMUNITIES BY CULTS IN RIVERS STATE - POLICE
The Rivers State Police Command said that the levy imposed on communities in Ahoada West LGA by suspected cultists has not been reported to the police by the stakeholders of the concerned communities in Rivers State.
Following the gruesome murder of DPO Bako, the cult gang operating in Ahoada communities sent a message to Ahoada communities in demand the sum of N10m for their survival, and failed to meet the demand by the end of the month all houses in the communities will be set ablaze. The panic has caused each house to contribute N100,000 to make up the demanded N10m survival money.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police, Iringe-Koko has called on stakeholders in the affected communities to make a formal complaint to the police about the incident. Also, the operatives have intensified their tactical strength to protect the communities and to get rid of all criminals tormenting the peace of those communities.
